2017 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
"DELIVERING A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR OUR STUDENTS AND COMMUNITIES"
about the collin college 2017 capital improvement program
Founded in 1985, Collin College has continued to grow each year and currently serves about 53,000 credit and continuing education students each year. The College currently has seven locations throughout Collin County: Spring Creek Campus, Central Park Campus, Preston Ridge Campus, Allen Center, Courtyard Center, Collin Higher Education Center, and Rockwall Center.
On May 6, 2017, voters approved a $600 million bond proposal to facilitate a long-range plan to accommodate the projected population growth in Collin County over the next two decades. The program consists of 4 new campuses, 3 new facilities (on existing sites), 2 repurposing of existing space projects, and 3 wayfinding projects. The program is scheduled to be completed in 4 phases over 7 years with the Phase 1 projects being completed in the Fall of 2020.
AECOM has been contracted to provide Program Management services for the Phase 1 and 2 projects.
